InspireNET
inspire: (from the Latin
spirare, meaning “spirit”, to breathe, to give
life—the breath of God); “breathing in, as in air to the lungs; to
infuse with an encouraging or exalting influence; to animate;
stimulation by a divinity, a genius, an idea or a passion; a
divine influence upon human
beings.”
InspireNET Illinois
is a network of like-minded business and civic
leaders who have the passion to inspire greatness in themselves,
their organizations, and their community. They subscribe to a core
set of noble values and principles and are committed to bringing
spirit back into the workplace.
The InspireNET Principles
are:
Courage --- We pledge to be
courageous by demonstrating and defending the values
reflected in these principles;

to sincere conversations in which our thoughts and beliefs are
aligned with our words;
Service --- We will lead
others by serving them;
Trust --- We will generate genuine
trust by telling the truth in all relationships;
Love --- We will show love
in community and honor the spark of greatness in all people;
Effectiveness --- Through
passion, creativity, and commitment, we will strive to be

InspireNET differs from typical
business networking organizations in that its primary purpose is to
develop a corps of enlightened leaders for the Springfield
community. InspireNET Founders and
members believe that excellent business opportunities are naturally
generated among people who share the same core of noble values.
Modest dues ($35 annually)
are used to cover costs of maintaining the network.
InspireNET convenes at luncheon meetings at
11:30 AM on the fourth Monday of each month at The Inn at
835 (835 S. Second Street; Springfield, Illinois).
Lunches are priced in the $12 range (including tax and gratuity);
menu is Chef's Choice, and a vegetarian option is always provided.
Please view our of upcoming meetings for dates.
Members use this time to build social capital and expand
personal networks. As part of each luncheon, members share personal
stories of events or experiences linked to one or more of the
InspireNet principles. Members connect with each other for advice,
inspiration, personal support, and coaching. Under these conditions,
opportunities for generating clients, leads and collaborative
partnerships arise naturally and effortlessly.
